Varjola has offered services and facilities for business customer for over 20 years: countryside peace, private surroundings and Finnish nature – what would be more ideal for a succesful meeting! We have also held hundreds of weddings, with all inclusive service.

Winter & Snow – Easy to reach

Varjola is situated in central Finland, Lakeland area, and you can reach us easily. It is only 20 minutes from Jyväskylä airport or 3,5 hrs. from Helsinki city. From us you can book snowmobile safaris, snowshoe trekkings, husky sled ridings and numerous other winter programs, our guides will meet you on site and will be with groups all the way. Because our activities are organized without need of extra transfers, you can save time while your occasion.

Tailor made experiences

The history of Varjola dates back to the mid-1800s, when timber rafter manger was needed for the bypass Kuusaa river. Nowdays Varjola combines agriculture heritage to quality restaurant and meeting venues in old barn house and peaceful countryside river view. You can book privately all our venues just for your needs.

We offer large scale of nature and outdoor activities , you can also enjoy Finnish sauna with outdoor Jacuzzi under the stars. Whether you are looking for adrenaline burst with snowmobile safari or relaxing, nature experience in snowy forest, we have choices for you. Our programs are done with over 20 years of experience.

Dining
Menus vary by seasons, and local fresh ingredients are used in our Finnish menus. During the activity day, you can enjoy coffee by the open fire in the hut. Evening can be organized with atmospheric dinner, live music and entertainment – privately for your occasion.

Finnish sauna experiences
Experience the ancient sauna culture of Finland in our smoke sauna. You may also enjoy outdoor jacuzzi and swimming in the lake.

Event venue with all services
Varjola and its quality event venues are available for different occasions and groups. You can book a large Hay attic for over 100 persons for meetings and events, with large scale of services and caterings. Nature and outdoors are just outside, so it is easy to combine outdoor programs to your meeting day.
