Varjola traditional Christmas Holiday
(3 nights, 23-26 December)
Varjola Christmas is celebrated respecting the Finnish traditions.
Christmas begins with Christmas tree trek, and mulled wine and Christmas tart. You can also make your own ginger breads.
On Christmas Eve, Christmas saunas are heated with the sauna guide. Christmas tree decoration and the declaration of Christmas peace is listened before going to the Christmas saunas. In the evening, Christmas delicacies are served in Christmas table, and afterwards Santa Claus arrives in Varjola. On Christmas Day, smoke saunas with warm Jacuzzis are available, as well as outdoor activities, e.g. you can take part in Arctic floating! In the evening we calm down with lanterns at Rantakota hut before going to dinner.
